Picrowd AI can read the web for free. With your own accounts it can search the web, use your mail, documents, calendars, task apps, and media generators, and reach the Apple apps on your Mac.

What AI tools are

Tools are extra abilities the AI can reach for while it works, like pulling in a web page, searching, sending mail, or generating an image. Some are built in and free; others you connect with your own account so usage is billed to you, not shared.

Built-in web reading

Reading a web page is available to everyone at no cost and needs no setup. Point the AI at a link and it fetches the readable content so it can summarise, extract, or act on it.

Tools you can connect

  • Search: Tavily, Serper, Brave, a self-hosted SearXNG, or Gemini search
  • Mail and contacts: Gmail, Google Contacts, Outlook, and generic or iCloud mail
  • Documents and storage: Google Drive, Docs, and Sheets, OneDrive, and Dropbox
  • Calendar
  • Workspace and task apps: Airtable, Notion, Slack, Linear, GitHub, HubSpot, Telegram, Stripe, Jira, Trello, Todoist, ClickUp, Asana, and Discord
  • Media generation: OpenAI media, Google Veo, Nano Banana, ElevenLabs, fal, Replicate, Stability, Ideogram, and Higgsfield
  • Any MCP server
  • Apple Notes, Reminders, Calendar, Contacts, Shortcuts, Messages, and iCloud files through the Apple Services helper on a Mac

How connecting works

Open the AI tools bar at the bottom of any workspace or the tools gallery in the AI workspace, pick a tool, and follow the install wizard to add your key or sign in once. The tool then gets a slash command in the composer. Connections are per person, so each user brings their own account and quota.

Good uses

  • Enrich a record from a company’s website
  • Look up current information before drafting a note or update
  • Pull references into a summary or Board post
  • Draft an email or a calendar invite from a record and send it after approval
  • Generate a cover image or a short clip for a Board post

Permissions and safety

Tool use follows the same rules as the rest of Picrowd AI: each tool call is approved per task, or you can trust specific tools or all tools in Settings → AI. Actions that change your data are proposed and approved. A connected tool never gives the AI a way around your project permissions.
