AI tools & connectors

Picrowd AI can read the web for free, and with your own accounts it can search the web and use other connected tools.

What AI tools are

Tools are extra abilities the AI can reach for while it works — like pulling in a web page or running a search. Some are built in and free; others you connect with your own account so usage is billed to you, not shared.

Built-in web reading

Reading a web page is available to everyone at no cost and needs no setup. Point the AI at a link and it fetches the readable content so it can summarise, extract, or act on it.

Bring-your-own-account tools

  • Web search through providers like Tavily, Serper, Brave, or a self-hosted SearXNG
  • Google/Gemini search
  • Other connectors you install and authenticate with your own key or account

How connecting works

You install a tool and add your credentials once; it then becomes available to the AI in your workspace. Connections are per person, so each user brings their own account and quota.

Good uses

  • Enrich a record from a company’s website
  • Look up current information before drafting a note or update
  • Pull references into a summary or Board post

Permissions and safety

Tool use follows the same rules as the rest of Picrowd AI: actions that change your data are proposed and approved, and you decide which tools are trusted. A connected tool never gives the AI a way around your project permissions.
