What an intake form is

An intake form is a public page you can share with anyone — no Picrowd account needed. Each submission creates a new row in the project, with the answers written straight into your columns.

It is the simplest way to collect information from people outside your workspace and have it show up as structured, ready-to-work records instead of loose emails.

How it works

You choose which project columns become form fields, give each one a label, and mark the ones that are required. Picrowd generates a public link. When someone fills it out, Picrowd validates the answers, creates a row, and drops the values into the matching columns.

Each field enforces its column type, so a status field shows your real status options, an email field must be a valid email, a date/ping field takes a proper date, and so on.

• Status, flag, tag, and colour choices from your project options
• File uploads attached to the new record (when enabled)
• A first note on the record, with optional images, files, or an audio clip

Setting one up

• Enable the Intake Form plugin on the project
• Pick the columns to expose, set their labels, and mark required fields
• Turn on file uploads or a first note if you want them
• Add a title, description, and logo so the form matches your brand
• Copy the public link and share it; rotate the token any time to retire an old link

Kept safe by default

Public forms include a hidden honeypot field and per-visitor rate limits to keep out bots and spam, and rotating the token instantly disables the previous link. You stay in control of which columns are ever exposed.
