Plugins & the marketplace

Plugins add optional capabilities per project: alerts, digests, intake forms, invoices, storage sync, and cleanup, so nothing clutters projects that do not need it.

Why plugins exist

Plugins keep optional features out of the way until a project actually needs them. Install and configure the tools that support a workflow instead of turning every project into a bundle of unused features.

Plugins are enabled per project, so two projects can behave very differently, one with intake and Slack alerts, another kept plain.

The marketplace

The marketplace is where you browse available plugins and turn them on for a project. Each plugin lists what it does and what access it needs before you enable it, and a short wizard walks through the setup. Enabled plugins appear as buttons in the project toolbar, and some add a companion bubble in the bottom corner.

Plugins you can add

  • Slack, Discord, and Telegram alerts: post record updates to a channel or chat
  • Record email alerts: quiet by default, emailing you when chosen columns of a record change
  • Daily Digest: one morning summary per project to email or a chat channel
  • AI Weekly: a scheduled weekly report written by Picrowd AI
  • Intake Form: a public form that turns submissions into records
  • Invoice generation
  • Google Drive, Dropbox, and Box storage sync
  • File Trimmer: storage cleanup with previews, protected values, and automatic runs

Alerts and digests

The notification plugins let you route what happens in Picrowd to the tools your team already watches. See Alerts & notifications for how the in-app, per-record, and channel layers fit together.

Storage sync

Storage sync helps when a team already uses Drive, Dropbox, or Box and wants Picrowd files to stay connected to that flow rather than living only inside Picrowd.

Good plugin habits

  • Install only what the project needs
  • Check a plugin’s permissions before connecting external storage or channels
  • Route alerts for meaningful updates, not every small change
  • Review cleanup tools carefully before they remove stored files
