Rows

Rows are flexible records. They can represent people, companies, tasks, assets, candidates, or requests.

What a row is

A row is one tracked item inside a project. Depending on the project, it can be a client, candidate, vendor, artist, asset, issue, request, or approval.

Rows appear in Table and Cards, and their dated fields appear in Calendar and Timelines. They can also be linked from notes, Board messages, Whiteboard items, and other records.

What a row can include

  • Custom field values
  • Person and company fields
  • Notes and replies
  • Images, files, audio, PDFs, and other attachments, gathered in the record’s Files and Links section
  • Pinned notes and display settings
  • Reactions and mentions
  • Public or shared access where enabled
  • Unread state, follow-up pings, and a lock

Opening a row

Click a row to open its card as a side panel, or expand it to the full record view when it needs more room. Settings → Table lets you choose which of the two opens by default. The full view adds the Files and Links browser, which can switch between this record and the whole project.

Row actions

Select several rows to do the same things in bulk, including Set Ping and Move to project.

  • Mark read or unread
  • Add a ping
  • Lock or unlock (owners and admins): a locked record rejects changes from everyone else until it is unlocked
  • Export, Duplicate, Copy to another project (optionally with notes), or Move to another project
  • Share access to just this record
  • Delete to the recycle bin, or revoke your own access

Good row habits

  • Keep the title or name clear
  • Use status and tags to make filtering useful
  • Write notes that explain decisions, not just activity
  • Attach files where people will expect to find them
  • Set a ping when a row needs follow-up
  • Lock records that must not change while they are under review
  • Clean the row before sharing it outside the team
